For one month, Trondson spent time with a 62 year-old male actor. They went on trips to the mountains and the ocean and some days sung Beach Boys songs. Over the course of this month, Trondson found this newspaper piano and used it as a guide for the performance where the actor shape/shifted into Brian Wilson (Beach Boys), The deceased John Greggory Dunne (whom called his wife Joan Didion on opening night of her play The Year of Magical Thinking on Broadway) and the artist.
